JEFF RUNQUIST VERDELHO 2024 750ML

The 2024 Verdelho has a light straw color with a faint shade of blue green contributing to a very youthful hue. The aromas are those of pear, quince, Crenshaw melon with a whiff of banana. There are also some citrus blossom and dried herbs lending a good dose of complexity to the aromas. Four months in oak, 22% of which were new, has imparted a sweet almond paste bouquet. The flavors are bright and citrusy reminiscent of cool climate Sauvignon Blanc. The body of the wine is full without being cloying, and the finish is clean with lingering flavors of ripe pear.
